What’s your favorite way to celebrate the New Year?

I have no favorite way to celebrate New Year’s, especially lately since I am retired from my professorship and usually stay at home and watch it on TV. As a younger person, I regularly spent New Year’s eve at my twin brother’s in Manhattan Beach where he would host a party with some dozen family sleeping over, then make us all a grand pancake breakfast the next morning.
